Whether you've lived here your whole life or recently moved to the area, there's a place for you here at First Gilmer. During our worship service you'll notice we open up and discuss the Bible every single week. Whether it's in a class, small group, Sunday service, or getting together in a local coffee shop; the Bible is an important part of our faith and we want to make sure you have access to one. You can also download the Bible App, by YouVersion, and take God's Word wherever you go.
We believe one of the best ways to get involved and create community is to serve in our church and community. There is no way First Gilmer could reach people and serve others without volunteers. From easy to difficult, every serving role is critically important. There are tons of places to get involved and do something you love: serve the homeless, hand out bulletins, greet people on Sunday mornings, teach children, hang out with our youth, get involved with music, help with technology, share your talents in drama, and many others. We're certain there is a place for you no matter where you are at in your faith journey.
Real change happens in circles, not rows. We believe that Life Groups are essential to discipleship and spiritual formation. At First Gilmer we are commited to both starting new Life Groups and nurturing existing ones. Find a class or Life Group by using our group finder below.
