Traditional Worship

Our Traditional Service is held in the Sanctuary every Sunday at 10am. A beautiful pipe organ and baby grand piano fill the place with joyful sound as we sing the traditions of our faith. You'll encounter liturgical elements such as the Lord's Prayer and the Apostles' Creed that stregthen and confirm our faith. A relevant message that connects faith and life is preached every week, guided by the truth of Scripture. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month. Our worship is livestreamed on Facebook and right here at firstgilmer.org on the Watch Live page. You can also watch us on Etex channel 1, Sundays at 9:00am & 6:00pm. If you're looking for a way to connect with God that draws upon the rich heritage of our faith with contemporary application, then our Traditional Service is just for you. Come as you are, we'll be waiting for you!

The Gathering | A Modern Worship

We meet in the Christian Life Center (CLC) at First Methodist Church Sundays at 11:30 am. The Gathering combines three prominant expressions of worship: traditional, evangelical, and charismatic. In essence, we desire to create a worship that is biblically based, Spirit-filled, and actively paticipatory. This is what makes The Gathering unique. Our worship is quite contemporary, with songs you hear on the radio. We also love the traditions of the faith such as communion, creeds, responsive readings, and prayers. To learn more about The Gather click below.
